I am a veteran researcher, brand strategist and facilitator with a track record of delivering big impact for some of the world's most valuable brands and organizations. I bring the brand discipline and creative chops of two decades of agency experience gained in senior strategy roles at agencies including Leo Burnett in Chicago, political firm GMMB in Washington DC, and social-impact- focused marketing firm Enso in Santa Monica. My broad experience in consumer marketing and social impact strategy enables me to shift deftly through various communications lenses – consumer behavior, B2B, citizen advocacy, policy influence, corporate sustainability and social impact, arts and culture influence, storytelling and narratives. Mission Driven

Seven years into my advertising career, I had a crisis of conscience while working at the advertising agency that did the Army recruitment campaign during the run-up to the Iraq War. I felt a deep calling to use what I had learned about persuasion - moving hearts and minds, shaping habits and behaviors, selling ideas - for positive social impact and consumer empowerment.. Whether for profit or nonprofit, I help brands find positioning clarity and the most potent cultural entry points to positively move people. I have worked with big brands that were considered the dark hats as well as those already considered to be positive and start-ups on a mission for progress. I’m outcomes-focused over ideological.

Venice Beach > O-HI-O

After twelve years living and working in the Venice Beach community in Los Angeles (and just as many in New York and Chicago before that), the Palisades wildfire in January 2025 prompted me to relocate back to my home state of Ohio to be in my family’s daily lives. In a full circle moment, I am living in the same neighborhood as when I was an Ohio State University undergraduate student. It’s an adventure in midwest living I did not foresee!
